International Online Organ Festival announces all-star line-up

The 1st International Online Organ Festival (IOOF) will take place from 18 April to 1 May 2002 under the patronage of the German UNESCO Commission, offering a comprehensive and innovative programme.

At the heart of the inaugural festival are more than 35 concert films from the world’s most impressive organ venues, available as video on demand throughout the festival period. Some of the brightest names in today’s organ scene feature, including Olivier Latry, Iveta Apkalna, Wayne Marshall, Paul Jacobs, Stephen Tharp, Martin Baker and Hansjörg Albrecht.

In addition, there is an interactive program enabling the audience to come into direct contact with organ professionals from all over the world. Three daily film contributions take centre stage as highlights, accompanied by live interviews with the organists and filmmakers as free special events. Organists can take live online lessons with international organ masters including Olivier Latry, Thomas Heywood and Daniel Moult.

Individual webinars and online panels offer information and discussion opportunities on a wide variety of organ-related topics.
