Amidst the repertory of rare choral treasures lies one jewel which evokes excited praise from choral enthusiasts: the 65-minute Requiem by Russian-Polish composer Osip Kozlovsky (1757 – 1831), a masterwork that has been praised alongside the revered counterparts by Mozart and Verdi.
The Singapore Symphony Orchestra, Choruses and a stellar cast of soloists led by Music Director Hans Graf presents this Asian premiere, preceded by Mozart’s “little G minor symphony”, made famous by the opening of the film, Amadeus.
