Norahrash Armenian youth choir, London (auditions)

The Armenian diocese is launching the “Norahrash” (“New Miracle” in Armenian) choir in London for teenagers and young people.

Led by music professionals and leading artists, the participants will learn Armenian church hymns and Armenian folk songs. The classes will be held once a week.

Auditions to select the choir members will be held on Monday 10 April at 12pm. Participants are expected to perform an Armenian or English song for the audition.

Kristine Sheroyan, Conductor

Kristine Sheroyan is Choir Conductor and Lecturer at the Yerevan State Conservatory. She is President of the Armenian Choral Conductors’ Association and Head of Membership Operations at CHORALSPACE International Academy for Choral Arts (Berlin). She was the founder and conductor of the Tavush Diocese Children’s Choir and has conducted several choirs in Armenia.

Tereza Gevorgyan, Vocal Coach

Soprano Tereza Gevorgyan is a graduate of Yerevan State Conservatory and the Royal Academy of Music. She has worked with the Royal Opera House, Opera North, Glyndebourne, Grange Park, Opera Holland Park, and Diva Opera. She has performed in Carnegie Hall, New York and Chicago Symphony Hall, Chicago, with the World Orchestra for Peace conducted by Valery Gergiev. She is the recipient of the Associate of the Royal Academy of Music (ARAM) award in 2019.
