Bent, But Not Broken Conference

Bent, But Not Broken — the first of its kind — is a four-day music conference amplifying the musical contributions and accomplishments of Black artists across time and genres, featuring the American Spirtual Ensemble, led by conductor Everett McCorvey; EXIGENCE, led by conductor Eugene Rogers; Westminster Choir College Jubilee Singers, led by conduct Vinroy J. Brown, Jr.; Resistance Revival Chorus; and the Choir School of Delaware, led by Arreon A. Harley-Emerson.

The conference will include a variety of interest sessions led by distinguished guest lecturers, an Honor Choir of choristers age 12+ from youth community choirs, conducted by Alysia Lee and Maria Ellis, and Dr. Marques Garrett will delve into the works of renowned composer Nathaniel Dett — illustrating Dett’s work through performances by the Choir School of Delaware‘s Choral Scholars.
