European Choral Association to recruit regional advocates

The ECA is implementing a new regional development strategy during 2022-24.

The Choral Connectors scheme launched by the European Choral Association (ECA) aims to widen the umbrella organisation’s network to include Central-Eastern and South-Eastern European countries.

The ECA is focussing on countries and regions with which the Association currently has little or no contact, and is inviting expressions of interest from individuals to help the organisation learn about the culture and choral landscape, discover examples of good practice, establish new contacts as well as to get to know the challenges and wishes of the sector in the target countries.

According to the ECA website, ‘Our wish is that cooperation between the European Choral Association and the target countries would enable intercultural exchange, knowledge sharing and networking and will bring mutual benefits.’

The Choral Connector role is voluntary and short-term, though grants of up to €500 are available towards travel, accommodation and subsistence costs.
