2021 World Choir Festival competition winners announced

With over 200 participating choirs and 50 international jury members, the World Choir Festival was the first online event organised by the World Youth and Children Choral Artists' Association.

Over the weekend of WYCCAA‘s event, all choirs met individually with jury members, hearing results within their categories and receiving feedback. There were also streamed masterclasses and concerts featuring world-leading choirs including Vesna Children’s Choir (Russia), Sofia Vokalensemble (Sweden) and five choirs from Hong Kong and Mainland China.

In the Final Competition, 13 choirs competed for the Choir of the World Award, the Jury’s Prize (both cash prizes) and 15 Grand Prizes.

Overall, the online programmes over the weekend had over 70k views across Chinese and international streaming platforms.
