London International Choral Conducting Competition postponed to 2024

The founding committee of the London International Choral Conducting Competition (LICCC) has announced the delay of the event’s return to October 2024. LICCC had initially hoped to hold the event in 2023 but securing funding in the current post-Covid environment proved challenging.

The competition has received an overwhelming number of enquiries from conductors eager to participate in this year’s event. However, the committee felt it was not fair to ask them to commit to the expense of a visit to London unless all the necessary details can be confirmed.

Despite the setback, the organisers remain undeterred and are more determined than ever to build on the success of the inaugural event in 2018. They urge potential entrants to look out for details of entry for LICCC2024, which will be published early next year. Those who have already registered their interest will be contacted at the appropriate time.
