Amateo invites 2021 award applications

The award is for creative projects which involve people who participate on an amateur basis

Amateo, the European Network for Active Participation in Cultural Activities, has opened submissions to the 2021 Amateo Award programme.

According to the Amateo website, ‘The culture and creative sector has been severely challenged in recent times. In the year 2020 a lot of projects had to be cancelled due to COVID-19 restrictions. But the creative sector has innovated rapidly, notably with accelerated digitisation. We are even more determined now to put the spotlight on all the projects (both live and online) that have found solutions to give participants the chance to be creative, show off what they do and encourage others to take part.’

To be eligible, projects need to have taken place during the year ending 31 December 2020 and to have been based in an EU state or participating country.

The entry deadline is 31 May. Visit the Amateo website for further information.
