SUMMARY:Songs for Ukraine at the Royal Opera House
DESCRIPTION:The Royal Opera House will mark a year since Russia’s devastating invasion of Ukraine, with a performance by the Royal Opera Chorus and more than 130 London-based Ukrainians.\nThey will perform together as a culmination of a two-month project in which they have explored traditional Ukrainian music and a set of opera choruses that are suitable for amateur singers. The project is designed to help attendees share their lived experiences of being displaced by war, show the resilience of the wider Ukrainian community, as well as to enrich the Royal Opera House’s own musical repertory by providing space to discover and learn about Ukrainian choral music.\n
