DESCRIPTION:\nWe are delighted that this fabulous day of music-making will be led by the irrepressible Brian Kay, conductor, broadcaster and singer (and RSCM Vice President), and will be accompanied by RSCM Director Hugh Morris.\n\n\n\nThis is an excellent opportunity to come together and sing glorious music which celebrates the Jubilee of the RSCM’s Royal Patron, in a wonderful setting in the very shadow of the royal palace, Windsor Castle. It includes the uplifting new anthem, In Our Service, as well as well-loved classics.\n\n\n\n‘If you enjoy choral singing to sing under Brian’s baton is a delight. I even followed him to Krakow in Poland to sing with him!’\n\n\n\nMusic list\n\n\n\nBrahms:  How lovely are thy dwellingsHandel:  Zadok the priestHewitt Jones:  In Our Service (RSCM Platinum Jubilee Commission ( https://www.rscm.org.uk/get-involved/platinum-project/ ))Parry:  I was gladStainer:  God so loved the worldStanford:  Coronation Gloria\n\n\n\nBrian Kay, Vice-President of the RSCM\n\n\n\nA founding member of the King’s Singers, Brian has spent a lifetime in music and is well-known for BBC Radio broadcasts as well as his work as an international choral and orchestral conductor.  Brian has been the Principal Conductor of The Really Big Chorus since 2010 and was for many years Chorus Master of the Huddersfield Choral Society and conductor of the Cheltenham Bach Choir, the Cecilian Singers of Leicester, the Mary Wakefield Westmorland Festival, the Bradford Festival Choral Society and Vaughan Williams’s Leith Hill Musical Festival.\n\n\n\nWith The King’s Singers he performed over 2,000 concerts worldwide and for 25 years wrote and presented thousands of programmes for BBC Radios 2, 3 and 4 and the World Service. For television he presented the Cardiff Singer of the World, the Choir of the Year Competition and, for fifteen years, the much-loved New Year’s Day concert of the Vienna Philharmonic. He has twice won the Sony Radio Award as ‘Music Presenter of the Year’, including the coveted Gold Award in 1996.\n
