DESCRIPTION:\n‘We have been able to adjust to a professional environment and gain valuable experience as we have been given the responsibility of performing in such a prestigious venue and have been working with elite musicians.’Fenella, Egglescliffe Senior Choir\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nThis summer the Gabrieli Roar residential course returns, culminating in a performance of Mendelssohn’s Elijah alongside our professional musicians. \n\n\n\nThis five-day intensive and high-quality choral project is an excellent opportunity for young singers to excel, develop their confidence in their own abilities and nurture a love of choral music.\n\n\n\nAccommodation: 22-26 July, Oundle School, NorthamptonshirePerformance: 26 July, Ely Cathedral, CambridgeshireNominal fees of £200 (choir members) or £230 (individuals); means-tested bursaries are providedSuitable for the 14-18 age group\n\n\n\nWe will provide music for all choir members, organise all logistics relating to the residential and performance, and provide support or assistance of any sort. Partner choirs are expected to organise their own transport to Oundle School and from Ely Cathedral, submit required forms and provide up-to-date safeguarding, child protection and risk assessments.\n\n\n\nIn advance of the project, there will be at least one kickstarter rehearsal session, to take place in your rehearsal time, where you rehearse. This will be with Artistic Director Paul McCreesh, or Chorus Directors Charles MacDougall or Emily Dickens.\n\n\n\nGabrieli Roar aims to provide participants with an inspirational choral experience, and we wish to work in partnership with our choirs to ensure that everyone feels involved in the process.\n\n\n\nApplications\n\n\n\nWe welcome both choirs and individual participants.\n\n\n\nIf you are a school or youth choir who wish to join us this summer, please read the Roar 2022 Partner Choir Letter of Agreement ( https://www.gabrieli.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/02/Roar-2022-Partner-Choir-Letter-of-Agreement-IMPORTANT.pdf ) and send a completed form to Anna Winstone, Roar Manager, anna@gabrieli.com.\n\n\n\nIf you are joining us an individual and not through your own school or youth choirs, please complete the booking form on the Gabrieli website by Friday 8 April 2022.\n\n\n\nWe look forward to welcoming you all to this Gabrieli Roar project!\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n
