SUMMARY:Tokyo International Choir Competition
DESCRIPTION:The Tokyo International Choir Competition is held in order to contribute to culture through the popularisation and promotion of choral music and to become a stage for international exchange.\nPrizes\nGrand prize of 500,000 JPY! The prize of 500,000 JPY will be given as an award of being the Grand Prix choir. Also, the winning choir in each category will be given 50,000 JPY.\nParticipants\nAll participating choirs must be amateur. However, the conductor and accompanist are exempt from this. Also, it is allowed for professional musicians or music teachers etc. to join in performance as a singer in an amateur choir.\nConstitution of the Categories\nThis competition categories are as follows:\n\n(1) Category A-1: Children’s Choir  (13 years old or younger)\n(2) Category A-2: Children’s Choir  (18 years old or younger)\n(3) Category B: Senior Choir\n(4) Category S: School-based Choir (Approx. 18 years-old or younger)\n(5) Category C: Youth Choir (28 years old or younger)\n(6) Category D: Chamber Choir\n(7) Category E: Equal Voice Choir\n(8) Category F: Mixed Choir\n(9) Category G: Contemporary Music\n(10) Category H: Folklore Music\n(11) Category V: Video Presentation\n\nRegistration\n\nVisit the Competition website for full information and to register.\n\n
