Whether you are an experienced performer or someone who has never been in front of an audience, you can improve your performance skills by attending. In a supportive and creative environment, our top-notch teachers encourage you to push your vocal and instrumental performance skills to new levels and define your musical voice.\nFor two weeks, you will be immersed in all aspects of performance. Your classes, workshops, and rehearsals will focus on this important element of being a musician. You will play in ensembles, develop improvisational and reading skills, improve your technique in weekly lessons, and enjoy lectures and demonstrations by well-known faculty and visiting artists. Students will also participate in production and recording workshops with top-notch engineers and producers on the Valencia technology team. To conclude the program, students will give a final concert that all are invited to enjoy.\nOne unique component of the Spain Summer Performance Program is the opportunity to experience the diverse and vibrant music of the Mediterranean region. Students will have the option to participate in group classes, workshops, and ensembles focused on many musical styles, including flamenco and others from the Mediterranean border.\nComing to the Spain Summer Performance Program will give students a big-picture view of what it takes to become an excellent musician. Our goal is for you to leave here with an understanding of what being an excellent musician entails, from having instrumental, harmonic, melodic, and rhythmic skills to knowing recording and production techniques.
